I feel lame now
There’s a reason I think Veneretio really rules my world (and he doesn’t even know it). His tanking blog postings are insightful and have helped me become a better tank. But then he has to go and prove that throwing weapons are better for pulling than guns. Why did he have to post this months after I got my stamina stick gun? Maybe I can pick up a Nightstrike sometime. My Felsteel Whisper Knives have no stamina, that would make me feel too gimp.
It’s my blog and I party if I want to
Old business for many guilds, new business for mine: we started Zul’Aman. It was moderately successful. We had a very nice one-shot of Nalorakk. Lemme just say one thing about this guy: he’s less exciting to tank than Prince Malchezaar, and I never thought I’d say that. He doesn’t crush, so you don’t have to play your keyboard like a piano to hit Shield Block every cooldown. Yes, I know, you still keep Shield Block up, but still.
So basically, you tank him, DPS spanks him, and you taunt when it’s your turn. Still, fun fight.
Less fun: 1% wipe on Akil’zon, first try. 17% wipe on Akil’zon sucks more. What sucks the most? Wiping on the gauntlet respawn a gazillion times so that I had to call the raid before we would all fall into a deep pit of misery we would never be able to crawl out of. Instead we farmed badges in Kara.
Next time, we’ll get him and his mothereffin’ gauntlet. Also, we’ll make a real attempt at the first chest. Baby needs new shoulders, okay?
The proud and the few: warriors
With three viable tanking classes in the game, one might wonder why I personally chose a warrior. As mentioned in my About page over yonder, I am a officer of a guild with all female members. Most-played class at a whopping 16%: hunters. We have hunters coming out of our ears. 72 hunters total. We have as much as four hunters signing up for 10-man raids. Hunters everywhere. BigRedKitty’s heart may soar, they’re all BM too. Least-played class by a huge measure: warriors. A whopping 26 girls are brave enough to play one. We have a lot more paladins and druids.
